Catherine Reed LICSW - Psychotherapy

We all struggle with the challenges of being human at every stage of life. I help adults navigate relationships, major life transitions, serious health issues, cancer, losses of all kinds, grief, adult children, family conflict, anxiety, uncertainty, and change, to find purpose and meaning in their lives. You may find that the issue you come to therapy to address segues into exploration, reflection, and understanding about other important parts of your life to provide valuable insight, meaning, and guide your future decision making.

My therapeutic approach is kind, compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s needs. My previous work in healthcare, a cancer center, in government settings, and with the military helps me to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and life circumstances. I draw from Internal Family Systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, attachment theory, and psychodynamic psychotherapy to help my clients.

My education/training was at Dartmouth College (1982), and Smith College School for Social Work (2014).

I provide psychotherapy via telehealth, allowing clients to receive support from the comfort and privacy of their own homes. I accept Anthem BCBS and Medicare insurances, or private pay of $150/session.
